TENCEL®
Tencel® (Lyocell) is an environmentally friendly material.
It is a fiber derived from cellulose sourced from fast-growing trees such as eucalyptus and beech, and it requires significantly less water during raw material production compared to cotton. While cotton cultivation is said to require approximately 5,000 liters of water per kilogram, Tencel® can be produced using less than 1,000 liters. It is also biodegradable.
As an environmentally responsible material, Tencel® has received the “European Award for the Environment” from the European Union.
In addition, Tencel® offers approximately ten times higher raw material production efficiency per unit area compared to cotton, and 99.5% of the non-toxic solvents used in the manufacturing process are recovered and reused.
Its texture is soft and smooth like cotton, while maintaining its beautiful quality even after repeated use.
